Heather Kratz, MBA is Administrative Director of MedStar Emergency Physicians and MedStar Institute for Innovation. Heather has provided leadership, direction, and operational management for emergency services at four MedStar hospitals, the largest clinical department in MedStar Health, which accounts for over 290,000 patient visits. She provides administrative and budgetary guidance to the 160 employed physicians and PAs of MedStar Emergency Physicians.
Heather is also responsible for management of MedSTAR Transport which includes five helicopters and eleven ambulances; the nationally recognized ER One Institutes; EMS Education; the Short Stay Unit; and the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
Heather received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. She has also received a Master’s of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University.
