Medical education programs
We are committed to advancing health care through medical education. We offer training in nearly 100 specialty and subspecialty programs and train more than 1,100 residents annually. We also offer our employees an array of continuing professional education programs and faculty development programs.
MedStar Health Research Institute
The MedStar Health Research Institute (MHRI) is a world-class research facility with more than 180 active scientists and investigators who conduct high-quality translational and health sciences research. Home to more than 1,000 active studies across more than 40 different clinical sites, we provide scientific, administrative, and regulatory support for clinical research throughout the MedStar Health system.

MedStar Health Simulation Training & Education Lab
MedStar Simulation Training & Education Lab (SiTEL) combines the brightest ideas in education and technology to drive better performance and safer care for our patients. We design and deliver a blended learning model of interactive online training, virtual and hands-on high-fidelity simulation, and continuing professional education products used at MedStar Health and by healthcare organizations in more than 40 states.
